Sometimes, I get a serious case of wanderlust.  My family’s idea of summer vacation as a kid was to pack the station wagon and head off - sometimes to OBX, and sometimes to national parks and points of historical significance.  But where ever we went, it was always an adventure, and the first thing I wanted to do when I was 16 and finally driving was to hit the open road and see where I would go.
One of those ‘some day’ adventures, as cliche as it may be, is to dive cross-country on 66, taking detours as I go.

With the recent jackpot of Mega Millions reaching an all-time high, everyone was thinking about what they would do with that money.  One of the first things I thought to spend my dream winnings on was this.  Though, I should clarify, it wasn’t just ‘a house’, but specifically a house in the Outer Banks (and the flood insurance to go with it!).  OBX has always been a special place for my family, but the drive, cost of gas, and of course cost to stay once you are there has kept us from our favorite place many times.  But to have a place of our own, in our favorite place on earth?  That would be priceless.
I’m not really motivated by money often, but should I ever find myself wildly successful financially some day, this is exactly what I’d do.

She is so unbelievably talented.  It would be awesome to get the chance to do a ‘day in the life of’ with her.

There are a few companies you can do it with, but I’ve always wanted to go off the coast of San Francisco near the Farallon Islands. Submerged in a cage with great whites all around, the adrenaline pumping in your veins.  There’s no other way to truly experience the immense size of them, and it is certainly a swim I’d like to take before I die.

I have BEEN THERE, on NYE but didn’t actually stay for the night.  I got caught up in a crowd of people just trying to get into Times Square and the mob broke down a barricade and we were sucked into the middle.  I was there with a college friend, Marisa, on our way to a party on LI but we had a train layover and figured, what the hell?
It’s insane at 7pm, I can’t imagine how crazy it is at midnight!  I’d like to revise this bucket list item to say that I’d watch the ball drop from A HOTEL ROOM overlooking Times Square. :)

My parents were there, standing darn near the edge - but it was so foggy they really couldn’t see them.  Even so, I’d love to see them, and the rest of the Emerald Isle some day.  See where my family is from, and maybe dig up a few family secrets while I’m at it.

I enjoy going into big-box bookstores like Barnes and Nobles, but I rarely actually walk out having made a purchase.  It feels wrong to me, to buy a brand new book.  I’d much rather save some money, and hopefully help save a tree by buying a used book on half.com or from a smaller used book store.
But once I’ve read the book, I have an even harder time letting it go.  I very rarely read a book again because I retain the stories so well, but I like to walk along the shelf, skimming the spines and recalling the adventures I read.

It is one thing to know that rum and coke taste good together.  It is a completely different thing to know true mixology and how to handle the happy hour rush.
I like to think that I work better under pressure, but there is so much more to it.  Queue analysis, knowing when to wing it and when you need to be on your mark.  These are life skills that I already have for the most part, and I like to think I’d make a pretty darn good bartender.  Just need to polish a few skills first.

I have a fear of heights.  I can do them, as long as they are secure.  But make me walk a mere 3 feet up a rickety old ladder and forget it, I’m frozen in fear.
But this Skydeck looks like the ultimate test.  Absolutely worth adding to my bucket list.

I’ve been to Nassau.  I have sailed PAST Atlantis, but sadly never actually been in the resort.  But from afar, it looks fantastic.  I would certainly add this to any tropical vacation itineraries in the future.

It would certainly help make achieving all the other things on my bucket list.  :)
But I don’t want to win the lottery.  Most of those people end up penniless.

I’d like to amend this to say, “Watch a FLYERS Game in every Team’s arena”.
If you know me, you know my love of hockey and all things Orange and Black.  To travel with the team would be awesome.

It’s a cheesy photo, but it feels almost required.  Some day, I will get there.

I oscillate between thinking foodies are snobs, and wanting to be one.  But there is something to be said about going to a place where the food is both delicious and well presented.  I’d like to think that one of his places would make for a fancy dinner occasion.

Some day, some how, I’d like to visit Paris.   …actually, make that a mega trip across Europe.  Sans the bed bugs in the Hostels.
